The Cormac McCarthy Journal Goes into the Mail

Volume 3 of the Cormac McCarthy Journal was mailed out to most subscribers today, who can expect their copies by mid-next week here in the USA and by late this week or early next overseas. This issue contains a biographical article on McCarthy's high school years, a critical study of his earliest short story, "Wake for Susan," and articles on Outer Dark and The Crossing. It also contains reviews of three critical volumes on McCarthy published during the past year.

This volume of the Journal will also go on sale shortly on the Society's Online Bookshop.

Outer Dark Casting Call

Outer Dark, an adaptation of a novel written by Cormac McCarthy, is to be filmed in Western North Carolina this Fall and next Spring. We are currently accepting resumes and headshots for actors of all types and levels of experience.
