I don't live in the U.S. or Canada. How can I order from the Bookshop?
With the following caveat — we require purchases to be made via checks drawn on U.S. banks, by traveler's checks, or by PayPal — proceed as above. Please send an inquiry note to info@cormacmccarthy.com for information about international shipping rates.
Why do you charge Canadian customers more than American customers?
Postage. From the U.S., Canadian-bound packages are much more expensive to mail than packages that are destined for points in the U.S. However, PayPal's shipping calculator won't let us set shipping rates based upon destination — so items destined for Canada cost a bit more.
What are your shipping rates for the U.S. and Canada?
Our shipping rates are currently based on a flat rate system. The cost of shipping depends directly upon your final purchase amount. In general, shipping costs will rise slightly as you spend more, though orders whose total cost is above US$200 will be shipped free.
What are your shipping rates for countries other than the U.S. and Canada?
Our shipping costs vary; for more information about shipping to a specific country, please send an email to info@cormacmccarthy.com.
Can I acquire PAL versions of the films for sale through the Society Bookshop?
Generally, yes. Send an email to info@cormacmccarthy.com with specific requests, and we will get back to you about availability and associated costs of format-transfer, if any.
How do you ship books and movies?
Books and videos are usually shipped USPS book rate.
Posters are usually shipped via express courier so that they may be insured; we may provide you with a tracking number.
Apparel may be shipped any number of ways depending upon whether you have ordered other items. If you ordered books or videos with a t-shirt, for example, we may elect to send the shirt book rate in the same package as the books. Such items may also be shipped separately at our discretion.
What if I don't get my order or my order arrives damaged?
Send an email to info@cormacmccarthy.com and detail the problem. We will work with you to resolve it.
Generally, yes. Please email us at info@cormacmccarthy.com with your specific requirements.
