Call for Papers:
Cormac McCarthy and Modernity

This panel addresses the fiction of Cormac McCarthy in relation to “the modern,” conceived of as an interdisciplinary concept.

We invite the submission of abstracts that explore the ways in which McCarthy’s complex works further, represent, and critique the varied legacies of modernity, whether in terms of literary periodization, modern philosophy, or modernization considered as a socio-historical process.
