Richard L: the Bradley book looks really interesting.

A lot of energy is spent on arguing the case for Dylan. But, ultimately, as with all art, it is really all about if you get it. Today I listened to this gift of a show – strange how I missed it first time round: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0118brp

Here you will listen to all kinds of appreciations – erudite and anecdotal. Among many stand outs, Beat poet Michael McClure’s reminiscences of watching Electric Dylan with Baez and Ginsberg, of Dylan standing his ground with Ken Kesey, and a weird but somehow entirely culturally comprehensible encounter with Marshall McLuhan. But I don’t want to spoil it by praising it too much. It’s a real gem.
