You’ve heard of art therapy and music therapy, and you may also have heard of trauma dogs and dog therapy. Horse therapy may be a new one for you, but that’s what Belos Cavalos does. They match trauma victims with horses for the theraputic value conferred by such relationships. It’s fascinating and impressive work, and it dovetails with a lot of what McCarthy has to say about human/equine relationships.
