    Great stuff on Meillassoux, Kubrick and McCarthy, Candy. Always good to start off the year with a little Kubrickian non-verbalism!

    It reminds me of Benjamin Fondane (who I discovered this past year). In his quest for a position of experiential post-reason, in the lineage of Kierkegaard, he had quite a bit to say on the matter as an antidote to fascist tendencies – an intentional and rigorous passion (or poetics) to combat a reactionary one – something like a necessary escape hatch:

    “I cannot tell you about water.”
