    Greetings all,
I am an undergraduate student working on my capstone project and I wondered if any one here had resources or perspectives related to The Border Trilogy. I want to explore the similarities between the Border Trilogy and aspects of the Old Testament (I’m thinking Genesis and or Judges). I was thinking of demonstrating that even though they are similar mythologies, they present two very different ideologies. What do you all think?

Well, I think lots of connections can be drawn, but McCarthy’s BORDER TRILOGY has no match for the violence–beheadings, child torture, etc.–that can be found in the Old Testament. For that, you would need to include BLOOD MERIDIAN.
