“For years the people waited for it to be released. It was like a thing unfinished in their lives. Events of doubtful outcome were made subject to its publication. It was said of certain old and venerable men that when they died the book would come out and they died and their children died and the book remained in manuscript only until at last it came to bear such import in the minds of the people that they scarce would speak of it at all.”

Yeah, there’s no Amazon page for THE PASSENGER either. Funny, because Amazon insists on waving a pre-order link to William Gibson’s THE AGENCY in my face every time I log on to it and in my email too, and that book doesn’t come out until April of 2018.

I might not live that long.

The placeholders “Untitled McCarthy 14/15 MME” now read “Dec 2018”, i.e. ∞ (cf., e.g., The Book Depository).

    Ed,

Let’s give McCarthy some credit, he’s given us a play, two novels, & a film script in the time Tool has given us one album.

We’ve got page numbers for the first time. 400 for 14 MME and 256 (!) for 15 MME.

Pretty good parody there, and I’m thinking that the Society should announce a prepublication date for THE PASSENGER CASEBOOK. I might even contribute an article for it myself.
