I am writing an assignment at University level, and need a good, convincing status quo for my paper. My assignment is to write about why I think the Road is an effective, cultural critique. I already have a good idea of what I want to do, but thought it would be interesting to see what you people out there thought of. So, what do you think the book is critiqueing?

Just to let you know, members of this forum are reflexively suspicious-and with good reason-about dishing people’s term papers for them. You’re more likely to draw useful responses if you initiate the dialogue by indicating what’s involved in your “good idea of what you want to do.”

Hint: start with the shopping cart. What do you think that signifies?
