We received word from our printer on Friday that there’s been a holiday backlog related delay on our hardcover casebooks at the bindery. They have just been shipped from the bindery back to the printer, who will have them midweek and will then ship them directly to us. We had hoped to have them this weekend and start mailing them out on Monday, safely before the holiday mail crush.

Depending on when they show up here, we may come back to ask those who have ordered them if you wish us to hold onto the books another week and a half and mail them after Christmas, hugely diminishing the risk that they will get lost or misdelivered during the postal insanity season – and let’s face it, the good ole USPS can be a hit-or-miss proposition at the best of times – or, pay an extra couple of dollars to have us use a trackable service like Priority Mail, or (not recommended) go ahead and send them book rate into the teeth of the Grinch as soon as we have them.

Think that one over. We’ll make a decision based on when the books reach us.
