She moves like a serpent, baby
Through time she drags her tale….
“Damaged from the Start,” Cowboy JunkiesPatrons of that Corporate State called Wal-Mart: Beware! As proud owner of little Friendo, this was of special interest to me this morning:
Shopper bitten by rattlesnake in Walmart
By msnbc.com staff and news services
SALMON, Idaho. May 14, 2012.
When Mica Craig reached down to brush what he thought was a stick off some mulch in the garden section of a Washington state Walmart, it turned around and sank its fangs into his hand.
The Friday encounter with a rattlesnake sent Craig, 47, to the hospital, where he said he remained in excruciating pain and may lose feeling in two fingers.
Wal-Mart Stores Inc has apologized. (Editor’s note: that sure was neighborly of them, wasn’t it?)
If you’re interested in the rest of this tail – er – tale, here ’tis: http://usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/05/15/11710516-shopper-bitten-by-rattlesnake-in-walmart?lite

AnonymousBest story I’ve seen today Mr Wallach. Thank you sir. Just what Walmart needs, vipers! Maybe they can start carrying antivenin. There’s a Wall-Mort down the street from my hovel and once I purchased/liberated a fiddler crab from them for several pieces of eight.
These pig fornicators had the fiddler crabs loaded into a freshwater aquarium with nary a rock or plant to climb upon. I asked the fishman if he was aware of the fiddler crab’s need to dry out everynow and again. His response,
“That’s not my job. I just get paid to scoop em out.”
Well said fishman and where in hell do I get off asking someone like you a question about fiddler crabs.
25 May 2012 at 9:32 pm #1348Wall-Mort, great name for them corporate SOBs. They are poison to any community they move into. If folks would just discipline themselves not to shop at Wall-Mort, pay a few more bucks to their competitors, bring lawsuits against them like for this snake thing. That poor guy’s got dead fingers and all Wall-Mort does is apologize–why the damn bastards.
BobbyKnoxvilleQuote07 Jun 2012 at 4:08 pm #1527Walker’s win in WI may prefigure Obama’s loss in November. Anyway it’s a sad day for what once was a mostly progressive state with an excellent educational system, not only the UW system but primary and secondary eds. as well. Sometime in the last 25 yrs, many Wisconsinites lost their nerve, turned selfishly inward, listened only to Rush Lamebrain and Fox News, and recently allowed things like the Koch brothers to hook their greedy claws into the electoral process. Over 33% of Walker’s money came from out-of-state big dogs.
The most discouraging thing, however, is the ultra lack luster challenge the Dems mounted. They scratch enough money for recall but threw together a campaign on a leaderless train with little fuel to run. I really don’t think Barrett wanted the job. The Dems should’ve got someone who did, but the sorry thing is nobody strong enough appeared ready in the wings.
I hope Obama et al. learn from this debacle, but I have my doubts.
